On April 13, 2024, Sydney's sense of security was violently shattered when Joel Cauchi attacked shoppers at Westfield Bondi Junction, killing six and injuring twelve others. Arriving moments after receiving an urgent call from The Sydney Morning Herald, I witnessed and captured the immediate aftermath, shoppers fleeing, gripped by fear and disbelief. In the days following, I documented the profound grief of the victims' families and the resilience of a community struggling to understand and recover from this senseless act of terror, which left lasting scars on Australia's national psyche
